It measures how long it takes your blood to form a clot. If your number is higher than normal, it could mean several things, from a bleeding disorder to liver disease. You'll usually get other tests at the same time depending on what your doctor's looking for.

Rivaroxaban (XareltoR) is a direct anti-Xa treatment. It increases the aPTT and the Prothrombin Time (PT) in a dose dependent fashion. At a therapeutic dose, the P/C ratio is between 1.30 and 1.70, which is variable according to the reagent used.
